My primary purpose in life is to become the first person in my family to earn a bachelor's degree and have a career in psychology so that I don't have to work two jobs like my mom. I will earn my bachelor's degree in psychology with a neuroscience track as a transfer student at the University of Central Florida. I want to use the education that I will gain to build a career in helping children with mental health support. During my time at UCF, I plan to stay focused on my academics, get involved in clubs and organizations, and events that the community or UCF offers. I will seek opportunities for internships, research, and volunteering opportunities that align with my major and career path. I hope that as I transition from a community college to a university, I grow personally and professionally, intending to make my family proud and inspire other members of my family that achieving higher education is possible with hard work and perseverance.
