My primary purpose in life is to have my voice be heard and to create positive change that extends beyond myself and my community. Having experienced homelessness, I know how easily people can be overlooked, and my faith drives me to turn that experience into action for others. Pursuing a degree in forensic science goes hand in hand with this purpose, as both guide me toward truth, justice, and service. During college, I will strengthen this purpose by excelling in my studies, building strong research and analytical skills, and seeking opportunities such as internships, campus organizations, and community outreach that allow me to apply what I learn. I also plan to use my time on campus to refine how I communicate and advocate so that my voice becomes clearer and more effective. Once I earn my degree, I intend to put these experiences into action—working to make meaningful changes in the world that reflect both my scientific training and my faith.
