I believe my primary purpose in life is to help both animals and people through my knowledge, empathy, and understanding. I am currently in my third year of veterinary school, about to start rigorous clinical rotations. It is in these rotations and externships where I will learn to care for animals and properly communicate with their owners. I am excited to finally put my skills to use and gain invaluable knowledge that will help me adjust to the world of being a veterinarian. My undergraduate degree was in Entertainment and Media Studies, and I have always loved film. It is my goal one day to produce and star in my own veterinary television show. During COVID, I started volunteering with cats and helping with adoptions. I decided that I wanted to become a veterinarian, so I went back to school for two years to earn my science prerequisites, started my school's pre-veterinary club as president, worked countless hours as a veterinary assistant, and applied to veterinary school. I'm proud to say I got in on my first application round and finally get to do what I love. The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine's GPA is based on a pass/fail system, so I was unable to list a GPA for that section. 3.54 GPA was for my undergraduate degree in Entertainment and Media Studies.
