I believe my primary purpose in life is to serve others. That is why I’m majoring in Wildlife, Forestry, and Spanish, with a minor in Psychology. This combination of studies will prepare me for a career in wildland firefighting as well as work focused on environmental service. In doing so, I hope to be a part of protecting both people and the environment. In college, I participate in Rotaract Club, where I volunteer in the community, and I plan to become more involved with organizations such as Natalie’s Second Chance. I also plan on continuing to tutor students. Likewise, I participate in Ayuda y Aprende, where we partner with students from Colombia and Peru to help strengthen their English speaking skills while improving our own Spanish. Developing my communication skills in another language will allow me to connect with and serve an even wider range of people.
